We are pleased to announce that Jemena, an Australian energy company, has become the latest member to join Methane Guiding Principles (MGP).

Established in 1837, Jemena owns and operates a diverse portfolio of energy assets across Northern Australia and Australia’s east coast, supplying energy to one if five Australian home and businesses.

By becoming a member, Jemena are joining a collective of nearly 50 organizations working towards a shared goal of reducing methane emissions throughout the gas supply chain.

We are delighted to welcome Jemena to Methane Guiding Principles and look forward to supporting their efforts to reduce methane emissions.

Chris Rathbun, Program Manager, MGP

Launched in 2017, Methane Guiding Principles focuses on five key areas of action to combat methane emissions and foster collaboration between industry and government. Members build on the foundation of five key principles to develop and share hands-on interactive tools and guidance to help others learn from experience and put those lessons into practice.
