Gain insights and strategies for methane reduction from world-class trainers and industry experts
Cutting emissions globally is a gargantuan effort that requires buy-in from across the industrial spectrum. For those that are earlier on their journey, knowing where to begin can be a challenge. The methane masterclass provides practical, actionable takeaways and lessons learned for operators and executives in the natural gas value chain. It passes along knowledge from those that have been on the methane reduction journey for some time for others’ benefit. In doing so, it serves as a prime example of why knowledge is power in the broader climate battle.
The masterclass is convened by a combination of MGP staff, members and external partners, and is typically held twice a year. No two courses are the same but they all cover a range of topics of interest to players at various levels of expertise. They are often hosted in a hybrid format—in-person and online—but this is ultimately up to the host of each specific masterclass.
The timing of each masterclass also varies according to host availability, but they usually take place over the course of one or two days. The sign-up process is coordinated by the Energy Institute and opens several weeks in advance of each course. The course is open to the public and all are invited to attend.
